LAWS need to protect children of domestic violence and child abuse. Court room judges need to be accountable for children and PROTECT THEM.
DCF needs to protect children. The question is how do they do this?
Last month, another DCF report was closed on a family in St Lucie County. The child spoke to the investigator, school resource officer, a PSL police officer and told them what was happening ............BUT IT WAS ONLY emotional abuse and the child was witnessing domestic violence in the home. DCF investigators found NO PHYSICAL INJURIES and closed the case, stating NO PHYSICAL INDICATORS!!!!!!
TheDCF investigator stated "parent was referred for services." It was recommended for the parent to participate in PARENTING CLASSES, but not mandated. It is optional to the parent.
Again we hear of these type of cases all the time and still nothing is done to PROTECT these children from the harm and abuse they live with on a daily basis.
Emotional and Psychological abuse lasts a lifetime and effects children.
People need to let their voices be heard. Together we can all make a difference in the lives of these innocent children!!!!
